Artist Statement

I am a multidisciplinary artist based in Qualicum Bay, British Columbia, working primarily in sculpture with chicken wire. With a background in graphic design and set production, I transitioned into fine art and established the Cathouse Gallery in 2015.

My sculptures breathe life into industrial materials, transforming wire into expressive, life-sized figures that convey movement and emotion, often inspired by my early experiences in ballet and synchronized swimming.

In addition to sculpture, I explore drawing and painting and I regularly share my techniques through workshops. My practice is grounded in a belief in the transformative power of creativity and its ability to foster connection and community.
