Artist Statement
My objective is to produce sculpture that evokes emotion and spurs creativity in others. I work from my home-based studio where I am blessed to combine my work life with that of raising my daughter and working in the garden. My inspiration comes from these things and from the love and support I receive from my family and friends.
I work in a variety of mediums depending on the intended placement of the piece: often starting in clay and then casting in concrete or resin. Over the past five years, I have been creating pieces for Mount Seymour United Church for installation in their outdoor entrance space.
All my work is designed to accent and add humour and/or character to a variety of spaces.
